  • If I reserve two rooms, can you give me adjoining rooms?

    Please write “Adjoining rooms requested” in the “Special Request” box of the reservation form. Please understand that, depending on room availability and the types of rooms requested, we may not be able to accommodate your request for adjoining rooms or rooms on the same floor.

  • Do you have rooms where I can smoke?

    All our guest rooms are non-smoking. Smoking in the guest rooms, including e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn cigarettes, is strictly prohibited.
    There is a smoking space on the 1st floor of the hotel.

  • What floors are the guest rooms on?

    The guest rooms are on the 6th to 8th floors. Japanese and Japanese Modern rooms are on the 6th floor, Luxury rooms are on the 6th and 7th floor, and Executive Suites and Ambassador Suites are on the 7th and 8th floors.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is at 3:00 p.m., and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. Certain plans may have different check-in and check-out times.

  • Do you offer early check-in and late check-out?

    Early check-in and late check-out are available on request for an additional charge. Please enquire with the Accommodation Reservations about these charges. Depending on room availability, it may not be possible to accommodate your request.

  • Can I send my luggage to the hotel in advance?

    You may send your luggage by courier service in advance. Please send it to the address below, ensuring that you state the name and contact details of the guest and the dates of their stay.
    Please prepay for the courier service and refrain from including valuables and breakable items in your luggage.

  • What is the Executive Lounge like?

    The exclusive use of staying guests, the Executive Lounge “OUKA” offers an extensive drinks service and food presentation.
    Only guests who have reserved an accommodation plan that includes access to the Executive Lounge “OUKA” may use the facility for no extra charge.

    Access to the Executive Lounge “OUKA” by children aged 12 years and under is available until 7:00 p.m. and only when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please also be considerate of other guests when in the Executive Lounge with children.

  • Do you have amenities for children?

    We have toothbrushes, pajamas, slippers, diaper bins, cots (suitable for infants under 12 months old who are not yet able to pull themselves up to standing), and bed guards available for our small guests.

  • What breakfast options are available?

    A Japanese and Western buffet-style breakfast is served at New American Grill “KANADE TERRACE” on the 1st floor (7:00 – 10:30 a.m. / last entry at 10:00 a.m.). Please note that this is the only breakfast option available at the hotel, and we do not offer room service.

  • May I leave my luggage with you before I check in?

    Yes. The Bell Desk on the 1st floor will assist you.

  • I want to stay with my child. Is there an additional charge?

    Children younger than school age (5 years and under) can stay free of charge when sharing a bed. If extra bedding is required, an additional charge applies. For children aged 6 years and older, adult rates apply.

  • Are there any special benefits for staying guests when dining at one of the hotel’s restaurants?

    Yes. Staying guests receive a 20% discount on evening meals at five of the hotel’s restaurants.
    * Some restaurants are excluded. This offer may not be used in conjunction with any other discount.

  • What is the Gajoen Art Tour?

    The Gajoen Art Tour is an activity offered exclusively to staying guests, in which hotel staff provide a guided tour of the many works of art from Japan’s early Showa era that adorn the banquet rooms and the wedding shrine. These areas are usually only open to couples holding their wedding ceremony and people holding functions at the hotel. You can enjoy the numerous artworks that make the hotel worthy of the name, Museum Hotel of Japan Beauty. Tours are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday (excluding public holidays), and can be booked at Reception by 5:00 p.m. on the day prior to the tour. Check here for details.

  • Are bookings necessary for activities?

    All activities for staying guests only must be booked in advance, with some exceptions. Bookings can be made on the website below.

  • How do I get to Hotel Gajoen Tokyo?

    Please refer to this Location & Access page. A free hotel bus is also available. We are also able to arrange transport to and from the airport for a fee. Please inquire with the concierge if you are interested.

  • Is there a smoking space?

    There is a smoking room on the 1st floor of the hotel.

  • Are there any tourist spots nearby?

    The Meguro area has many famous tourist spots, including historical and cultural sites, shrines, and temples. There are also many famous restaurants and sweets shops. The hotel’s staff are highly knowledgeable about tourist attractions in the vicinity, so please feel free to ask them.

  • If I am staying at the hotel, do I need to make a reservation to see the cultural property “Hyakudan Kaidan -The Hundred Stairs-“?

    No reservation is necessary while exhibitions are being held. Staying guests are also given a discount voucher (half price off admission fee; not available for online tickets). Please ask at Reception if you would like to tour Hyakudan Kaidan.
    Hyakudan Kaidan is not open for tours when exhibitions are not being held. Click here for details of the exhibitions.

  • I left something behind at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.

    Any lost property found inside the hotel will be held at the Reception for 3 months. Please enquire at the Reception.
